Listed below are the basic steps for
your child’s admission to The Valley School. If you have questions
regarding the application process, please contact the Admissions Office.
or send an email to email@ValleySchool.org
- Contact and Send Records – To initiate the
admission process, contact The Valley School to inform them of your
interest and arrange for the following items to be sent:
Report Cards: Last report card for the full school year and
the most recent report card received.
Standardized Test Scores: Most recent standardized test scores (i.e.
IOWA or CAT.)
Other Evaluations: Any other diagnostic reports that would enable
us to better understand your child, his/her learning styles, strengths
and weaknesses.
- Parent Visit – After receiving the requested
information, parents will meet with and administrator to discuss the
program in depth. Building tours and classroom observations are possible
at this time.
- Student Visit – When school is in session,
all students must visit the appropriate classes before admission will
be considered. Those applying during the summer must meet with and
administrator. Informal testing may be done to determine placement.
At this time please bring:
Application: Complete the application received at the time the student
visit is scheduled.
- Review of Application – The Admissions Committee
meets regularly to review applications. You will be notified of your
child’s admission status within one week of a student visit,
providing Valley has received all requested materials.
- Enrollment Procedure – After notification
of acceptance, complete the enrollment contract and include tuition
payment as indicated to the Admissions Office. Upon completion of
these two steps, your child will be considered enrolled.
